ADMI participated in the DigiIntermediaries Bootcamp at the Fakugesi African Digital Innovation Festival in October 2021. The Bootcamp, organized by Tshimologong Innovation Precinct and Wits School of Arts (Johannesburg), explored strategies for intermediaries in gaming and immersive media to support the growing industry across the continent.
The sessions covered different topics including value chains, monetization, product and merchandising, policy and advocacy, and markets and festivals.
After the BootCamp, ADMI was selected to pitch for funding before a panel of judges at the DigiIntermediaries Pitch competition. Our proposed project seeks to connect young game developers to early-stage work opportunities in Kenya was selected as one of the three winning pitches along with projects from Senegal and South Africa.
In 2022, ADMI will roll out the program which will connect 5 game professionals to corporates with projects they can work on together. If you would like to work with us on this project, reach us at partnerships@africadigitalmedia.org
