On Thursday 21st May we held the third in our #creativesagainstcovid webinar series. This edition focused on the events and performances space, and our conversation starters were Allan Oyugi of Xtreme Media Solutions, Chemtai Chamia of Bloomingdale Planners, Chris Kirwa of CateChris Ltd, and Peter Gacheru of IMG Kenya. The webinar focused on concrete ways to continue holding and organizing events given the changing world around us, and discussion on what the future of the events and performance space might hold.
On Thursday 7th May at 4pm, we explored solutions for Kenyan photographers to overcome the current Covid-19 crisis. Our line-up of conversation starters included award-winning visual artists and industry experts Antony Trivet, Thandiwe Muriu, Mwarv Mwangi, and Jim Chuchu, plus Abraham Ali as Moderator.
On Thursday, April 16th, 2020, Wilfred Kiumi moderated a lively panel of conversation starters to discuss how African creatives can weather the impact of COVID-19. “Life After COVID for African creatives”. June Gachui, Juliani, Nonini, David Muriithi (‘DJ Dlite), Judy Ogana and Adam Kiboi all discussed current challenges and future actions that we can take as a creative community to build resilience and opportunity.
